At the end of every date, every guy wants to know if it went well. However, you might be at a loss regarding signals and signs that your date has as good of a time as you did. We understand. It’s not like they teach this kind of thing in school. So how you can you know that you had a successful first date and that she definitely wants to see you again? Here are five outward signs.
She Initiates Contact
People generally don’t initiate contact with people they don’t want to communicate with. So if you’re sitting around a couple days after a successful first date and she texts you to chat, that’s a good sign. She’s not going to ask you how you’re doing, make a flirtatious joke or even say “sup?” unless she had a good time on your first date. Once she initiates that contact again, that’s her way of telling you that she had a good time without telling you.
She Laughs at Your Jokes
You don’t want to play the dancing monkey who’s there for her amusement. At the same time, if she’s laughing at your jokes, that’s an almost sure sign of attraction — doubly so if she’s laughing at your jokes when they’re not really all that funny. Humor is pretty much always a sign of some kind of attraction, and can make for a very successful first date. If she’s into your sense of humor, you guys probably have some kind of rapport going on and she wants to see you again.
She Asks You Out
This is a biggie and more common than you might think. The problem is that a lot of guys don’t know that how women ask men out is different than the other way around. She won’t come out and ask you out. Far more likely is her just asking what you’re doing this weekend or mentioning something cool that’s going on. She wants you to take it from there. Don’t let her down.
You Get a Kiss
If you went for the kiss and didn’t get an aggressive turn of the cheek, she wanted to kiss you and, thus, almost certainly wants to see you again. This should be obvious, but it’s not. We can’t tell you how many guys don’t understand that a girl doesn’t kiss a guy back if she’s not that into him.
You Hear It Through the Grapevine
What’s better than your date telling you that she had a great time? One of your friends telling you that she told them that she had a great time. Your date might want to spare your feelings, but chances are pretty slim that she’s going to go out of her way to rave about the night you two had together to a third party unless she really means it. Now that’s a successful first date.
