At every age older men attract women younger than them. Why is that? One reason is that older men have more life experience. With that experience come wisdom and a deeper understanding of what the man wants. He knows what he wants and won’t settle for less. So he automatically gets viewed as a high-value man with standards and integrity. And that is the kind of man women want.
A second reason women date older men is that older guys aren’t worried about trying to get somewhere in life. They’re already there. They’re more established in terms of their career, finances, etc. While younger guys are still figuring their shit out hoping to “make it”, older men have passed that phase. As a result they offer more stability and reliability. Those are traits that have been programmed through evolution to elicit attraction in women.
Finally, older men tend to be more emotionally stable as well. Drama won’t sway them as they’ve “been through it all” in their relationships with women. This emotional maturity is huge in attracting women (particularly for women looking for long-term relationships.)
If you want to date younger women, remember these points. And remember that you’re farther along in all these areas than the guys her age. Realize that you already have a lot of the qualities younger women are attracted to simply by the fact that you’re a little older. This knowledge alone can shoot your confidence through the roof. Also, it makes it much easier (and more fun) to meet, attract, and start dating younger women.
How to attract younger women
Being older means women will automatically see you as possessing a lot of the qualities that women find attractive. Because of this you don’t need to say or do anything special in order to have success dating younger women. Don’t, for example, try to look or act “young”, thinking you have to blend in with her age group in order to win her over. Wearing different clothes or taking her to places you don’t like (because that’s where “people her age go”) just puts you in a position where you’ll look and feel both uncomfortable and out-of-place.
Instead of trying to meet her at her level, bring her up to your level. Give her a taste of that more mature, grown-up life that she doesn’t experience when she’s with her friends. Wear the same sport coat/blazer you’d wear if you were taking a woman your age out on a date. Invite her to the same places you’d take any other girl. Bring her into your world (rather than trying to cram yourself into hers) and give a new life experiences she wouldn’t get otherwise.
Is dating younger women awkward?
Some women might be embarrassed or uncertain about the idea of dating an older man. Sometimes it’s because they think that dating an older guy is somehow “wrong” or “weird”. Other times it’s due to insecurity. They see this older, experienced guy who has his life together and they wonder “why would a guy like that want to date someone like me?”
In either case the way to overcome this resistance is to hold firm in your belief that the age difference between the two of you is no big deal. Even if she thinks it’s awkward at first, or if her friends try and tell her the age gap is too much. Hold strong to the belief that it’s perfectly okay. This makes it possible for her to follow your lead and adopt that same view. Similarly, if she’s insecure and feels she doesn’t deserve an older guy, your belief that age means nothing will help her look past her own perceived shortcomings and feel more deserving of your affection.
A great way to show that you’re not fazed by the age difference is to poke fun at it. Playfully tease her for being “so young and naive” and laugh at the fact that there’s an age difference. Get her to laugh about it and see the age difference as a big joke. Then she’ll feel more comfortable with it.
One difference in meeting younger women
For the most part meeting and dating younger women isn’t going to be any different than meeting and dating women your age or older. There is however, one difference in meeting younger women that you should keep in mind.
Younger women tend to have a stronger desire towards new experiences. So if a younger woman is at, say, a club she’s going to want to experience everything going on that environment. As a result it’ll be tougher to keep her attention. (Older women, by contrast, have already “been there, done that”. They don’t need to experience everything and tend to know exactly what it is they want).
What this means is that when you meet a younger women in a situation like this, make a point to get her phone number early in the interaction. That way when her favorite song comes on and she abruptly runs off to go dance with her girlfriends, you’ll still have a chance to meet up with her later on.
